Family of 4 on holiday, first time at this restaurant and we couldn't fault it, service was first class and all our food was very tasty, we had starters veg spring rolls, mains salt and pepper crispy chicken, sweet and sour chicken cantonese style, chicken chow mein, special chowmein, rice, curry sauce. It was all hot and tasty. Would highly recommend. Young man who served us was very helpful and couldn't be more polite. Will definitely return next year.

Best Chinese I've had in Cumbria since moving in March (2024). Good lavue for money - portion sizes are really good, this one actually beat me.

Duck in orange or king prawns honey and chilly. Going there few times month and its perfect food. Prices good. Try many in carlisle and this one always best

I really enjoyed my meal. I was late phoning order in. It was near closing time, but they were nice and let me order. It looked like a small family run business, good menu to my liking. I was happy with the price, not expensive. The meal came in good time and nice and hot. I got a free bag of prawn crackers because I spent over 5 and also a free bag of vegetable spring roll because I spent over 15. My meal was only 17 in total for 4 items. So with the extra free items there was loads of food. The portion size is good. The collection area was clean and covid restrictions of 3 people to collect at a time.which was good screens up too. I would definitely go back and I would recommend this place to my friends and family .

Don't live local but every time I'm in Carlisle this is my go to Chinese. Food is always hot. Fresh, plentiful and real good value for money. I would say restaurant quality food. Keep it up.

Absolutely fantastic food I ordered a crunchy noodles special with prawn crackers it came in no time flat excellent delivery driver was friendly and when I got the food it was a mix of vegetables high quality meat and brilliant noodles, was pleasantly surprised as there's not many places which have that quality or standard nowerdays, was also given some spring rolls which was welcome simply fantastic will be ordering again!

Ordered my scran at half 7 it's now half past 9 and I'm still waiting. Should have put my order in last Friday it might have come by now. Starting to think Lucky Date is actually in China and not Carlisle . Are they cooking my salt and pepper chicken by leaving it next to a high wattage light bulb? Are they frying my rice by the grain? Peeling the spuds with a pencil sharpener? Fuming as well cos I had a white magnum in the freezer for my afters but that's gone already because I'm obviously pya hungry. I rang up to find out what's happening with my food and was on hold for 5 minutes while they were looking for my order which isn't great. I think I'm starting to hallucinate a little bit as well now the couch is beginning to look like a spring roll. I just want curry sauce coursing through my veins, is that too much to ask? This is the worst Friday of my life.
